Since 29 September, Ser+ Compromisso Social CLDS-5G has been running workshops for migrants every Tuesday from 6 pm (18:00) in room L13 of the Edifício dos Quartéis, in Moura.
Part of the Compass activity, the GPS Workshops aim to be, as their name suggests, a navigation tool for people who have chosen to live and work in Moura. The sessions cover topics such as employment relations and contracts, workers’ rights and duties, health and safety at work, regularising your legal status in Portugal, access to housing and intercultural dialogue. They also explain which services and organisations to turn to when these rights are not respected.
More than information sessions, these workshops are a space to share experiences, get answers to your questions and build a support network, working together with the Local Support Centre for Migrant Integration (CLAIM) in Moura and other partner organisations. The early-evening time was chosen so that people who work can take part.
